Welcome to my web page. I hope you'll read my book, With Love Stan: A Soldier's Letters From Vietnam To The World. It is a great book for those who have experienced the Vietnam war either as a veteran or family member who lost a loved one in that conflict. Stan's letters are recorded from Basic Training through his tour of Vietnam, April - October 20, 1969, when he was killed in a fire fight. My book also contains recollections from the men in the 199th Light Infanty Brigade, Charlie Co, 2/3. who served with Stan and were with him until the end.
With Love Stan, gives the reader a true picture of what a "grunts" life, Infantryman on the ground, was like in Vietnam. What courage, boys barely out of high school, displayed in the rice paddies and jungles of Southeast Asia, where they quickly became men.
Educators and students will find it a wonderful primary source for studying those turbulent years in our history, the 60s. Where slogans like, "Make Love Not War," and "America, Love it or Leave it!" were anthems for hippies and the silent majority.
I wrote With Love Stan as a tribute not only to my brother but all the brave men and women who fought and died in Vietnam. I have always felt it important to preserve the past by securing artifacts such as letters and photos, which holds the key to who we are and where we've came from.
I hope you'll read Stan's story and share it with others.
