Many of us spend a great deal of money making the interior and exterior of our homes as attractive as we are able to do.  However, one option which is often overlooked is to install landscape lighting which allow you to accent light, or provide task or general lighting for certain aspects of your property.  This can make the overall property look particularly attractive at night.

Landscape lighting essentially serves three purposes:

Security lighting: this allows you to light, either generally or on a motion sensitive basis many of the access points to your property to discourage potential intruders from coming unwanted onto your land.

Hazard lighting:  this type of lighting allows you to light pathways and other potential hazards such as trip hazards so that you can walk around your property without fear of harm due to the fact that your way is lit.

Accent or decorative lighting:  with this type of lighting you can create attractive effects by using lights to create particular effects thereby adding to the atmospheric effect of your garden at night.
