I rather like cellular blinds - particularly in a room which gets a lot of direct sun and needs a bit of shelter in the middle of the day. They give a more gentle difused light than venetians - and aren’t as closed in feeling as having the curtains drawn during the middle of day. 

All in all I rather like cellular blinds and think they go well with all types of decor. They certainly will team well with drapes as well and come in useful range of colours too. They are quite expensive to have custom made and installed but they do last quite a number of years. 

If you are chosing blinds makes sure you go for a fairly neutral colour scheme so you don’t end up with a dated look in a few years, or just a look you are very,very tired off! Cellular blinds are always going to beat lace curtains hands down!
