I went over to my girlfriends parents house that they are building and they were showing me all the high tech stuff that they had built into their house. They had installed multiple electric tankless water heaters. They had heated floors which I thought was pretty cool. The lights automatically turned off when some one was not in the room for a an extended period of time.

Of course all their appliances were all super high energy saving and solar panels had been installed on the roof. I must say it was all very impressive. I can’t wait till I have some money and can make some of these improvements to my old house. One of the first things I need to do is replace the windows though.
